Our selection of 1:10 Scale Cowlings & Cowling Kits

Our cowling parts are made of Polystyrene plastic, are light weight and durable. As they are basically a shaped plastic shell, we recommend reinforcing them in vulnerable areas and adding flotation if you plan to use them on Remote Control models. The cowlings come vacuum formed but will need to be cut out, trimmed up, assembled, finished and fit to your model.  For this reason, we try to incorporate extra height in the cowl so that you can trim and shape the bottom to the curve of the deck and get the profile you want.  Some of the more complex modern cowlings with air scoops will come in up to 3 or 4 pieces. Basic filling and sanding may also be required, but the average model boat builder will be able to get good results. Below is a current list of the boats we can make cowlings for. he list includes both vintage and modern boats and will be updated periodically. They are listed in order by Master Hull Roster (MHR) hull numbers and reference the basic Newton Marine Plan number. You will need to specify which boat you are building. In some cases, there are a number of different boats that fall under the same reference numbers. Not all of them are listed on the table below and some have different cowling configurations over the years. It may be helpful to include a photo of the real unlimited when you make your order or inquiry by e-mail. We will respond to your e-mail as promptly as possible, give you a price quote for what you need and status of its availability. If we don't have it, we will quote you a price for making a special order.
